Drill holes#
With a drill bit (Peck at Points)#
- Click the hole circles in the order you want them drilled.
- Under CAM Operations, click Drill.
- Under Mode, pick Peck at Points.
- Pick a drill as the Tool.
- Set Depth.
- Click Generate Toolpath.
No circles? Click on the canvas to place points. A click near a circle uses its centre.
Peck lists every tool. Pick a drill: an end mill must be centre-cutting, and a ball nose or taper leaves a rounded bottom. The form warns you.
With an end mill (Helical (Circle))#
Makes any size hole by spiralling down.
- Select the hole circles.
- Click Drill, then pick Helical (Circle) under Mode.
- Pick an end mill smaller than the hole.
- Set Depth and generate.
The form lists each hole's Ø and the toolpath Ø.
Hole in a pocket floor#
Set Start to that pocket's floor, and Depth to the hole's own depth. See Cut into the floor of a pocket.
